Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Optum, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software applications. Your role will involve participating in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design. You will write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements, support, maintain, and document software functionality, and identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. Additionally, you will analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed, participate in software design meetings, and consult with end-users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet their needs. You will also contribute to team growth by providing advice, mentoring, and coaching to other engineers with positivity and enthusiasm. Your responsibilities will also include identifying opportunities for process improvement and effectively presenting them to decision-makers.
