Job Description – Enterprise Architect

Position Overview We are seeking a bilingual Enterprise Architect to drive growth and technology transformation for UST’s clients in Japan. You will be the strategic technical voice to Japanese enterprise clients — shaping their multi-year technology direction, owning the solution vision, and building the trust that converts client relationships into long-term partnerships. You will engage at CXO level and work closely with Client Partners and offshore teams to ensure the success of the engagement. Key Responsibilities Client Technology Advisory

Serve as the trusted technology advisor to Japanese enterprise clients at CXO and senior leadership level, shaping their view of architecture, platforms, and transformation direction.

Translate client business priorities and strategic roadmap into technology vision and direction

Partner with enterprise clients to uncover, analyse and document complex business challenges and legacy IT bottlenecks Solution Vision & Architecture

Define the high-level designs, solution blueprints, and technology roadmap for each engagement

Work with Technical Architects to comprehensively design scalable and secure enterprise architectures

Identify where cloud, emerging technologies, and AI can deliver demonstrable business value; frame recommendations in terms of outcomes. Pre-Sales Leadership

Own the technical pre-sales cycle — solution pitches, PoC narratives, and RFP strategy — driving the technical story that wins client confidence.

Work with Client Partners to develop account growth strategies and identify new opportunities within existing relationships. Executive Engagement

Engage CXO and senior leadership in Japanese, navigating consensus-driven decision-making and building long-term trust through cultural fluency and technical credibility. Internal Alignment

Act as the bridge between Japanese client priorities and UST’s delivery, pre-sales, and leadership teams; direct the Technical Architect on solution vision and client context.

Feed client and market insights back to UST leadership to inform account strategy and Japan positioning. Required Qualifications Experience

15+ years in enterprise architecture, technical consulting, or systems integration, with a strong track record in pre-sales and CXO-level advisory.

Demonstrated experience advising senior stakeholders on technology strategy and transformation across multi-year programmes.

Sector experience in one or more of: manufacturing, automotive, industrial electronics, semiconductors, logistics, financial services, or public sector.

Prior experience working with Japanese enterprise clients or in the Japan IT services market strongly preferred. Technical Breadth

Working knowledge across cloud platforms, integration patterns, data architecture, and security — sufficient to make credible architectural recommendations and engage confidently with client technical teams.

Experience leading digital transformation programmes spanning cloud adoption, application modernisation, and enterprise platform change

Experience and comfort using AI tools for building applications

Experience in large multi-year, multi-vendor engagement environments. Language
