QA Automation Lead (WebdriverIO | Selenium | JavaScript) Location: Bengaluru / Pune / Hyderabad / Chennai / Gurgaon (Hybrid/As Per Business Requirement) Experience: 10+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: UK Shift (Overlap Required) About the Role We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead to drive quality engineering, automation strategy, and release excellence across digital platforms. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end quality initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and build scalable automation frameworks while leveraging modern testing practices, AI-assisted testing, and CI/CD. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute product quality strategies across digital journeys and platforms. Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks. Drive AI-assisted testing, automated test generation, and quality engineering innovation. Manage release quality processes, sign-offs, and release readiness activities. Act as the QA Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide technical leadership across the team. Lead quality governance and cluster-level QA initiatives. Review and approve Merge Requests (MRs) and Pull Requests (PRs). Mentor QA engineers and promote engineering best practices. Lead end-to-end lifecycle integration testing and automation initiatives. Define quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure quality by design and testability. Own code quality, automation performance, and production quality KPIs. Proactively monitor production applications and perform advanced defect analysis. Enhance CI/CD quality processes and automation frameworks. Required Skills (Mandatory) 10+years of experience in QA Automation and Quality Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with WebdriverIO (Mandatory), Selenium, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience in Web, API, Mobile Application, and Integration Testing. Expertise in designing, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks. Experience with cloud-based testing platforms such as Perfecto . Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, BDD, TDD, and DevOps methodologies. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud platforms. Knowledge of AI-assisted testing, GenAI, and modern automation practices. Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. Experience managing release processes, quality governance, and production quality. Preferred Skills Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments. Exposure to multiple application repositories and concurrent release management. Experience supporting production releases and post-release validation. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Candidates should be comfortable working with UK stakeholders, supporting multiple concurrent releases, and participating in overnight production releases when required.
