We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Device Testing Technician to join our R&D team in Plymouth, MN. This role focuses on testing cardiovascular catheters and other medical devices. It is a hands-on laboratory position, with approximately 85% lab work and 15% desk work. You will be responsible for performing mechanical, electrical, and visual testing to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical, electrical, and dimensional testing (e.g., force, length, outer diameter, conditioning) on cardiovascular catheters.

Operate laboratory equipment including calipers, multimeters, MTS systems, force gauges, LabView systems, and Cognex vision systems.

Follow test protocols accurately and document results in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot testing issues and communicate findings effectively.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

1 to 4 years of experience in medical device testing, research and development (R&D), or product assembly; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in a non-engineering field.

Proficiency with hands-on lab tools and testing methods; prior experience with medical devices is a plus.

Strong attention to detail for accurate data collection and reporting.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word.

Preferred but Not Required:

Experience with LabView, Cognex, or automated testing systems.

Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
