Role Overview

We’re seeking a Sr. Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in precision mechanism design, tooling/fixture development, and electromechanical machinery for a cGMP environment. This role will be hands-on, requiring the ability to work independently on concept development, design execution, and support of new equipment and tooling projects.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)

5+ years of experience in electromechanical and tooling/fixture design

Expertise in SolidWorks (tooling, fixture, and machinery design)

Hands-on experience with design, procurement, and build of machinery and fixtures

Mold design and fixture development

Experience in capital equipment design and build

Background working in cGMP facilities

Preferred: Experience with catheter and deep brain stimulation machine production

Core Responsibilities

Design tooling, jigs, fixtures, and precision electromechanical machinery to meet business needs

Develop concept layouts for machinery not available commercially

Create concept and detail designs for jigs, fixtures, and modifications of commercial equipment

Lead the design process from concept through build, procurement, testing, and validation

Research and evaluate new equipment, machinery, and processes for feasibility and integration

Support assembly, testing, and debugging of designed equipment and fixtures

Manage design documentation through PDM systems

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define equipment needs and future capabilities

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in internal and external meetings related to design projects

Explore and implement new processes (e.g., laser systems, additive manufacturing technologies)
