QA with Playwright

Job Title QA Tester – Level 2 Location Chennai, India Employment Type Contract (Hourly Time & Material) Experience 5+ Years Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. About The Role We are seeking an experienced QA Tester – Level 2 to join our team supporting enterprise applications for the International Development Association (IDA) under the World Bank Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing while working closely with developers, product managers, and technical leads in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Perform manual, regression, integration, and functional testing. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright. Execute unit and integration testing. Identify, log, track, and validate software defects. Perform root cause analysis for reported issues. Conduct performance and security testing. Support CI/CD pipelines and quality gates. Manage visual regression testing using Chromatic/Percy. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, and quality metrics. Stay updated with the latest testing tools, automation frameworks, and industry best practices. Experience with enterprise-level applications. Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools. Experience in financial or reporting applications is an advantage. Work Environment Work location: Chennai. Candidate should be willing to work from the WBG office or vendor location. Remote work may be required based on project needs. Key Deliverables Prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases.
