Infrastructure Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Solution Architect with 5+ years of expertise in designing and implementing large-scale infrastructure platforms across on-premises, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in hybrid cloud architecture, advanced network configuration, and load balancing, combined with a proven track record of educating and upskilling operations teams. This senior role requires a strategic architect who can design resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions that span traditional data centers and modern cloud platforms. The Infrastructure Solution Architect will serve as a technical leader, mentoring operations teams, establishing infrastructure standards, and driving the adoption of best practices across the organization's infrastructure landscape. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES On-Premises Infrastructure Architecture (5+ Years): • Architect and design large-scale on-premises infrastructure platforms including compute, storage, and networking • Design data center architectures with focus on high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity • Create virtualization strategies using VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM for enterprise workloads • Design storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), and software-defined storage solutions • Architect bare-metal server deployments and converged/hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) • Design on-premises network architectures: core, distribution, and access layer configurations • Implement infrastructure automation for on-premises environments using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef • Plan and execute data center migrations, consolidations, and modernization initiatives Operations Team Education & Upskilling (5+ Years): • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for operations teams on infrastructure technologies • Create technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for infrastructure operations • Develop certification paths and learning curricula for infrastructure engineers and administrators • Conduct hands-on workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and technical bootcamps • Mentor operations team members on architecture best practices, troubleshooting, and optimization • Establish infrastructure operations standards and governance frameworks • Create sandbox environments and labs for hands-on learning and experimentation • Evaluate team skill gaps and develop targeted upskilling initiatives • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within operations teams Azure Cloud Infrastructure Architecture (3+ Years): • Architect and implement large-scale infrastructure platforms on Microsoft Azure • Design Azure landing zones, subscription strategies, and resource organization models • Implement Azure compute solutions: Virtual Machines, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) • Design Azure storage architectures: Blob Storage, Files, Disks, Archive Storage • Architect Azure networking: Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway • Implement Azure identity and access management: Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities • Design Azure hybrid connectivity: VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN • Architect Azure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions • Optimize Azure infrastructure for cost, performance, and security Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architecture (1+ Year): • Architect and implement infrastructure platforms on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) • Design OCI tenancy structures, compartments, and resource organization strategies • Implement OCI compute solutions: Virtual Machines, Bare Metal, Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) • Design OCI storage solutions: Block Volumes, Object Storage, File Storage • Architect OCI networking: Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, security lists, route tables • Implement OCI identity and access management: IAM policies, groups, dynamic groups • Design OCI hybrid connectivity: Site-to-Site VPN, FastConnect • Architect OCI high availability and disaster recovery solutions across regions • Optimize OCI infrastructure for Oracle workloads and enterprise applications Advanced Network Configuration & Load Balancing (3+ Years): • Design and implement advanced network architectures for hybrid and multi-cloud environments • Configure and optimize load balancing solutions: F5 BIG-IP, Citrix ADC, NGINX, HAProxy • Implement Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, and Front Door for cloud-native load balancing • Design OCI Load Balancer and traffic management strategies • Architect global traffic management using DNS-based load balancing and GeoDNS • Implement application delivery controllers (ADC) with SSL offloading, caching, and compression • Design network segmentation strategies: VLANs, VXLAN, micro-segmentation • Configure advanced routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP for hybrid connectivity • Implement software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization solutions • Design DDoS protection, web application firewall (WAF), and network security architectures Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Architecture: • Design hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premises, Azure, and OCI environments • Architect multi-cloud strategies for workload distribution and vendor diversification • Implement hybrid connectivity solutions: VPN, ExpressRoute, FastConnect, SD-WAN • Design cloud bursting and disaster recovery strategies across multiple platforms • Architect consistent networking, security, and governance across hybrid environments • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) for hybrid and multi-cloud deployments • Design data synchronization and replication strategies across hybrid infrastructure Security & Compliance: • Architect infrastructure security frameworks: zero trust, defense in depth, least privilege • Implement network security: firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, network segmentation • Design identity and access management architectures for hybrid environments • Implement encryption at rest and in transit across infrastructure platforms • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements: GDPR, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX • Design security monitoring, logging, and SIEM integration for infrastructure • Implement vulnerability management and patch management strategies • Conduct infrastructure security assessments and remediation planning Infrastructure Automation & DevOps: • Design infrastructure as code (IaC) strategies using Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, or CloudFormation • Implement configuration management and infrastructure automation pipelines • Architect CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and updates • Design GitOps workflows for infrastructure management • Implement automated testing and validation for infrastructure changes • Architect self-service infrastructure platforms for development teams • Design infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and auto-remediation solutions Performance Optimization & Capacity Planning: • Design infrastructure performance monitoring and optimization strategies • Implement capacity planning methodologies for compute, storage, and network resources • Architect scalable infrastructure solutions that support business growth • Optimize infrastructure costs through right-sizing, reserved instances, and automation • Design performance benchmarking and load testing frameworks • Implement infrastructure analytics and predictive capacity management Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance: • Collaborate with application teams, security teams, and business stakeholders on infrastructure requirements • Present infrastructure architectures, roadmaps, and recommendations to technical and executive audiences • Participate in architecture review boards and technical design authority sessions • Establish infrastructure governance frameworks, standards, and best practices • Define infrastructure policies, procedures, and compliance requirements • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate infrastructure technologies •
