About the role
As the Lead Solution Architect, you will serve as the Primary System Integrator (SI) authority for the digital transformation. You will be responsible for the end-to-end (E2E) solution design, ensuring the successful consolidation of 10 disparate entities into a unified Microsoft Dynamics 365 landscape. Your goal is to champion business process harmonization and minimize customizations by leveraging Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) functionality. "Key Responsibilities: • Solution Architecture & Design Blueprint Ownership: Define the overall system architecture, including data modeling, security frameworks, and integration patterns for D365 Finance + SCM. Legacy Consolidation: Design the roadmap to migrate 10 business entities from legacy landscapes (IBM i, Netsuite, Wealden) into a single D365 tenant. Integration Strategy: Architect 6 core integrations with non-ERP apps (orders, invoices, customer/supplier details) using JSON APIs and Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus). Environment Governance: Manage the environment strategy (Staging, UAT, PROD) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) using Azure DevOps. • Pre-Sales & Proposal Leadership RFP & Bid Support: Lead the technical response for RFPs and RFQs, providing expert-level solution designs and estimations for scope and timeline. Proof of Concept (POC): Oversee the development and validation of POCs to demonstrate critical business cycles, specifically around Asset Finance and Source-to-Pay. Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for process optimization and ""Way of Working"" (WoW) improvements rather than simply migrating old legacy processes. • Delivery & Quality Assurance Design Authority: Lead the Architecture Review Board to approve all Functional (FDD) and Technical (TDD) designs, ensuring alignment with Microsoft's Success by Design framework. • Data Migration: Oversee the migration of 1 year of General Ledger history and open invoices from legacy IBM i databases to D365. • Stakeholder Management: Confidently present architectural decisions and trade-offs to C-suite executives and project sponsors. • Deployment & Hypercare: Lead the transition from project delivery to Business-As-Usual (BAU) coordination, ensuring stability during the hypercare phase. Technical Skills & Qualifications • Experience: 12+ years of ERP experience, with at least 5 years specifically as a D365 Solution Architect on large-scale international implementations. • D365 Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of Core Finance, Asset Management, and Supply Chain modules. • Legacy Integration: Proven track record of integrating D365 with third-party/legacy systems (e.g., IBM i, Netsuite) via APIs and middleware. • Platform Knowledge: Proficiency in the Power Platform (Power Apps, Automate, BI) and Azure cloud infrastructure. • Certification: Mandatory MB-700 (D365 Solution Architect Expert); MB-310 or MB-330 is highly desirable." • D365 Finance + SCM, migrate business entities from legacy landscapes, core integrations with non-ERP apps using JSON APIs and Azure Integration Services, integrating D365 with third-party/legacy systems, Environment Strategy, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Azure DevOps, RFPs and RFQs, Lead the Architecture Review, Proficiency in the Power Platform (Power Apps, Automate, BI) and Azure cloud infrastructure, Mandatory MB-700 (D365 Solution Architect Expert); MB-310 or MB-330 is highly desirable.
