Playwright Automation Engineer

Key Skills: Playwright, JavaScript, TypeScript, API Testing, Test Automation Job Location: Coimbatore Mode of Work: Work from Office Experience: 4 to 12 Years About the Job: As a QA Automation Engineer – Playwright, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise web applications. You will leverage Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript to build scalable UI and API automation solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in automation testing, API validation, CI/CD integration, and Agile delivery practices. Experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain will be an added advantage. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript. • Build, enhance, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks. • Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing across enterprise applications. • Design and execute API test cases using REST/SOAP services with Playwright API Testing, Postman, or REST Assured. • Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create comprehensive test plans and test cases. • Identify, log, track, and retest defects while collaborating closely with development teams for timely resolution. • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools. • Validate P&C Insurance business workflows including Policy Administration, Claims, Billing, and Underwriting. • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams in Agile/Scrum environments. • Prepare and present test reports, quality metrics, automation coverage, and execution status to project stakeholders. Requirements: • 4+ years of experience in Software Testing with strong expertise in Test Automation. • Hands-on experience with Playwright using JavaScript/TypeScript. • Strong experience in API Testing (REST/SOAP), including request/response validation, authentication, schema validation, and error handling. • Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks for UI and API testing. • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Test Strategy, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, and Defect Management. • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing. • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. • Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders. Good to Have: • Experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. • Exposure to Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar P&C Insurance platforms. • Experience with Performance Testing or Test Management tools. • Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and DevOps practices.
