Business Analyst

As a BA+ WAF SME at VARITE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, you will be responsible for the following key accountabilities and responsibilities: - Lead the deployment and configuration of Akamai WAF solutions for external facing web applications. - Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis to ensure the effectiveness of WAF configurations. - Maintain the change control, drive the IT application engagement for Cyber changes & coordinate the successful change delivery. - Continuously monitor WAF performance and security events, generating detailed reports and metrics for stakeholders. - Collaborate with the security operations team to respond to and mitigate web application security incidents. - Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to communicate security requirements and provide guidance on best practices. - Stay updated with the latest security trends and Akamai product updates to continuously enhance client web application security posture. - Ensure the time-bound delivery success with driving the end-to-end life cycle of Akamai Web application Firewall deployment on applications. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on web application security and WAF technologies. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Akamai WAF configuration and management. - Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS, HTML, JavaScript, and web application frameworks. - Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies. - Knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities and OWASP Top 10. Certifications: - Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Akamai certifications are a plus. Soft Skills: - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Additional Requirements: - Ensure all WAF implementations comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies. - Experience in managing security projects, including timelines, resources, and deliverables. - Willingness to adapt to the dynamic nature of cybersecurity threats and organizational needs.
