About the role
As a member of the Digital Video Group, you will play a crucial role in developing high-performance, cross-platform modules to support media, timeline, and sequence workflows across DVA products. Your responsibilities will include: - Building high-performance, cross-platform modules supporting media, timeline, and sequence workflows - Developing features in core video, formats, and media pipeline components to enhance reliability, scalability, and maintainability - Designing and implementing import/export, decode/encode, and media processing workflows for various video and audio formats - Implementing unit tests and end-to-end media scenarios to ensure correctness, performance, and stability - Developing automation and backend infrastructure for detecting performance regressions and media pipeline issues - Participating in architecture and design discussions, leading design for your feature area - Developing or optimizing imaging and video processing algorithms using CPU, GPU, and hardware acceleration - Working collaboratively with a global team to create shared software components for desktop video and audio creation applications - Partnering with internal client teams to integrate components into products and optimize workflows - Developing new frameworks and features to enhance performance and stability throughout the product development cycle - Strengthening space-time performance optimizations, usability, and stability of products - Understanding resource constraints and implementing efficient solutions with respect to CPU processing and memory utilization Qualifications required for this role include: - 6+ years of hands-on design and development experience - B.Tech. / MTech. in computer science and engineering - Proficiency in C++, object-oriented design, problem-solving, data structures, and algorithms - Knowledge of image or video processing, GPU, or experience in imaging or video - Strong design skills at the system or application level - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills at the system/application level Nice to have qualifications include: - Experience with video or audio formats, codecs, containers, or media pipelines - Knowledge of image/video processing, GPU programming, or hardware-accelerated media workflows - Experience working on performance-critical, large-scale C++ codebases - Strong design skills at the system or application architecture level As a member of the Digital Video Group, you will play a crucial role in developing high-performance, cross-platform modules to support media, timeline, and sequence workflows across DVA products.
