Data Engineer

Role & responsibilities 5-8 years of relevant professional experience Hands-on experience retrieving data from both databases (SQL) and APIs Strong report building and data visualization skills; Power BI experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation Solid understanding of data modeling and query optimization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Key Responsibilities Extract, clean, and transform data from relational databases and third-party APIs. Design, build, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards (Power BI preferred) Write and maintain Python scripts for data processing, automation, and analysis Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all reporting deliverables Optimize queries and data pipelines for performance and reliability. Document data sources, transformation logic, and reporting processes Preferred candidate profile Domain knowledge of hedge funds or the broader financial services / investment industry Experience working with Snowflake
