Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer

As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer at Vehant Technologies, your role will involve designing, managing, and securing IT infrastructure to support Vehant's security solutions for R&D systems, production environments, and customer systems. Candidates with experience in private defence companies or regulated environments are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities: - Design, manage, and secure enterprise IT infrastructure across Vehant locations and project sites. - Lead administration of Linux and Windows server environments. - Manage network infrastructure and security, including firewalls, VPNs, VLAN segmentation, and access control. - Implement and enforce IT security policies, system hardening, and best practices. - Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. - Implement logging, monitoring, and audit mechanisms. - Support secure R&D, testing, and production environments. - Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, SOCs, and security vendors. - Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior IT team members. - Lead incident handling, root cause analysis, and preventive actions. - Prepare and maintain SOPs, architecture diagrams, and compliance documentation. - Support internal and external audits, customer reviews, and compliance requirements. - Act as a key IT stakeholder during customer deployments and critical project phases. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science / Electronics. - 2-8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / System Engineering roles. - Strong hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL), Windows Server environments, Networking (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPNs), and Virtualization platforms (VMware / KVM). - Strong understanding of security, access control, logging, and monitoring. - Ability to manage critical infrastructure with minimal downtime. Strongly Preferred: - Experience working with private defence companies, security products, or regulated environments. - Exposure to restricted/secure networks, audit-driven IT environments, and Endpoint security, DLP, SIEM, or log management tools. - Certifications (preferred, not mandatory): RHCSA / RHCE, CCNA / CCNP, ITIL, Security-focused certifications.
