Sr IT Infrastructure Engineer

Vehant Technologies is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in secure, mission-critical IT environments . The role involves designing, managing, and securing IT infrastructure supporting Vehant s security solutions , including R&D systems, production environments, and deployed customer systems. Candidates with prior experience in private defence companies or regulated environments will be strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Design, manage, and secure enterprise IT infrastructure across Vehant locations and project sites. Lead administration of Linux and Windows server environments . Manage network infrastructure and security , including firewalls, VPNs, VLAN segmentation, and access control. Implement and enforce IT security policies , system hardening, and best practices. Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning . Implement logging, monitoring, and audit mechanisms . Support secure R&D, testing, and production environments , including isolated or restricted setups. Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, SOCs, and security vendors. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior IT team members. Lead incident handling, root cause analysis, and preventive actions. Prepare and maintain SOPs, architecture diagrams, and compliance documentation . Support internal and external audits, customer reviews, and compliance requirements . Act as a key IT stakeholder during customer deployments and critical project phases . Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor s degree in IT / Computer Science / Electronics . 5 7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / System Engineering roles. Strong hands-on experience with: Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL) Windows Server environments Networking (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPNs) Virtualization platforms (VMware / KVM) Strong understanding of security, access control, logging, and monitoring . Ability to manage critical infrastructure with minimal d owntime . Strongly Preferred Experience working with private defence companies, security products, or regulated environments . Exposure to: Restricted / secure networks Audit-driven IT environments Endpoint security, DLP, SIEM, or log management tools Certifications (preferred, not mandatory): RHCSA / RHCE CCNA / CCNP ITIL Security-focused certifications Key Attributes High level of integrity, confidentiality, and trustworthiness .
