As a Trainee Field Service Engineer at our company, you will be a part of the technical support team responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT hardware infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various IT hardware components. - Support troubleshooting of hardware faults under the guidance of senior engineers. - Perform basic diagnostics and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability. - Maintain accurate records of service calls, equipment history, and customer interactions. - Adhere to defined SOPs, service protocols, and safety standards during on-site visits. - Provide clear updates to clients on service progress, timelines, and next steps. - Assist with hardware upgrades, imaging, and network connectivity checks. - Collaborate with the technical team to plan site visits and service schedules. - Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge and keep abreast of evolving technologies. Qualifications Required: - Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field. - Basic understanding of computer hardware components and peripherals. - Willingness to travel to client locations. - Good communication and customer-handling skills. - Ability to work independently and follow instructions. - Strong interest in IT hardware, systems, and field-based work. - Possession of a valid driving license preferred for field mobility. If you are familiar with Windows OS installation, basic networking, BIOS setup, and driver updates, it is a plus. Exposure to ticketing systems or helpdesk tools would also be advantageous. Additionally, certifications like A+, N+, or any basic hardware training are welcomed.
