Job Description SAP BASIS Consultant Position: SAP BASIS Consultant Experience: 10-15 Years Location: Chennai (Hybrid/Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to manage, administer, and support SAP landscapes, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and stability across SAP environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA administration, SAP system upgrades, installations, migrations, and performance tuning. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, Gateway, Fiori). Perform SAP kernel upgrades, support package implementations, and system refreshes. Execute SAP system copies, client copies, and landscape management activities. Administer SAP HANA databases, monitor performance, and optimize system health. Manage transport requests and coordinate releases across Development, QA, and Production environments. Perform SAP security administration, user management, and system monitoring. Troubleshoot SAP system issues and perform root cause analysis. Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures. Monitor system performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks. Collaborate with functional and technical teams during implementation, upgrade, and migration projects. Support SAP S/4HANA Greenfield and Brownfield implementation activities. Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Required Skills 10-15 years of hands-on SAP BASIS administration experience. Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA environments. Expertise in: SAP Installation & Configuration SAP Kernel Upgrade SAP Support Package Stack (SPS) SAP System Refresh & Client Copy SAP HANA Administration Transport Management System (TMS) SAP Solution Manager SAP Fiori & Gateway Administration SAP Web Dispatcher SSL Certificate Management SAP Router Performance Tuning Backup & Recovery High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Experience in OS administration (Linux/Unix) and database administration (SAP HANA). Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills. Preferred Skills Experience in SAP S/4HANA Greenfield or Brownfield implementation projects. Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM, SAP BTP, and cloud-hosted SAP environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an added advantage. Experience with SAP migration projects and Unicode conversion. Exposure to automation and scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python) is desirable. Understanding of ITIL processes and change management. Educational Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Soft Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Good documentation and incident management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Location: Chennai (Hybrid/Remote) Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days preferred.
