Job Description Senior SAP ABAP Developer (S/4HANA 2023/2025) Position: Senior SAP ABAP Developer Experience: 1420 Years Location: Chennai (Hybrid / Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with 1420 years of SAP technical expertise and strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA 2023 Greenfield implementations . The ideal candidate should have worked on end-to-end implementation projects for automotive clients and possess deep technical knowledge of modern ABAP development on SAP S/4HANA. Key Responsibilities Participate in end-to-end SAP S/4HANA 2023 Greenfield implementation projects. Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality ABAP solutions aligned with business requirements. Develop and enhance Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW). Build and consume OData Services, CDS Views, AMDP, and RAP-based developments. Develop and optimize APIs, IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and integration components. Perform custom code remediation and optimize developments for SAP S/4HANA. Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable technical solutions. Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and performance optimization. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical support. Mentor junior developers and establish development best practices. Required Skills 14-20 years of SAP ABAP development experience. Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA 2023 . Hands-on experience in at least one or more Greenfield S/4HANA implementation projects . Strong expertise in: Object-Oriented ABAP CDS Views AMDP OData Services SAP Gateway RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) Adobe Forms SmartForms SAP Scripts Enhancement Framework BADI, BTE, User Exits ALV Reports IDocs BAPIs RFC Proxy Development Experience in custom code migration and S/4HANA simplification. Strong SQL performance tuning and debugging skills. Experience working with SAP Fiori integrations and backend services. Good understanding of SAP authorization concepts and transport management. Preferred Experience Experience in the Automotive industry is highly preferred. Exposure to SAP Activate methodology. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. Knowledge of SAP BTP Extension Suite is an added advantage. Experience with CI/CD and Git-enabled ABAP development is desirable. Educational Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
