About the role
JD Support Engineer Essential Job Functions Familiarity with the Okta identity and access management (IAM) platform, its operation, functions and processes Assist with the transition of new and existing applications into Okta SSO and federation services, while enhancing web access management, and directory service environment Perform necessary platform configurations and configurations related to integrating applications with Okta for SSO and federation services (OIDC and SAML2) Manage existing integrations and support technical integration needs (design and development) that facilitate connectivity between SSO, directory, and provisioning tools Monitoring system operation and performance for potential problems Researching, testing, and verifying proper functioning of software patches and fixes Documenting design specifications, system configurations and standard operating procedures (SOP's) Support and troubleshoot end user password reset, account suspension, multifactor authentication (MFA) and SSO issues Create/delete groups, create/remove users, create/clear user tokens in groups, manage group permissions, edit MFA factors, monitor and respond to ticket queue, run and download reports Occasionally support production changes and disaster recovery tests outside of normal working hours Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in the Information Technologies field - Required Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Required Experience with using and administering Okta - Required Experience with assisting end user authentication issues - Required Familiarity with single sign-on technologies (OIDC & SAMLs) -Required Experience with assisting end user authentication issues - Required Okta administration certification - Not required, but a plus Supporting users in the Asian and European
