About the role
Job Summary We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to provide L1/L2 production support for business-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in incident management, application monitoring, cloud infrastructure, Linux, and DevOps tools. You will be responsible for monitoring production environments, resolving incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high application availability. Key Responsibilities Monitor application and infrastructure health using monitoring tools. Provide first-level support for production incidents and service alerts. Analyze issues using monitoring dashboards and escalate to relevant teams when required. Track and manage incidents through Jira and collaboration tools until closure. Perform continuous monitoring to ensure maximum application availability. Coordinate with Incident Managers, Platform, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams for timely resolution. Execute proper shift handovers and maintain operational documentation. Support incident response activities and minimize service disruptions. Contribute to improving monitoring dashboards and operational processes. Required Skills Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch). Good understanding of Linux administration and troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes . Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, ELK, and Alertmanager . Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals . Experience with Jira , Confluence/Wiki, and incident tracking tools. Basic understanding of Spring Boot, Java, Maven, and Node.js . Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Git. Familiarity with incident management tools like PagerDuty or Zenduty . Scripting knowledge in Bash or Python . Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Preferred Skills Experience in L1/L2 Production Support or Application Support . Exposure to cloud-based environments and DevOps practices. Knowledge of the TV/Broadband or Telecom domain is an added advantage. Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced production support environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 25 years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, Cloud Support, or Site Reliability roles. Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.
