DB2 Administrator

As an experienced candidate with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in DB2, you should have a good understanding of DB2 architecture. Your responsibilities will include creating objects such as tables and indexes as requested by the application team. You should also be proficient in backup strategies, including online and offline backups, as well as restore database and apply logs up to a point in time. Additionally, you will be expected to manage tablespace, including adding and resizing, and have experience with data movement utilities. Granting permissions at the user level, performing DB health checks using monitoring tools like PD and TOP, and offline/online reorganization are also part of the role. Your expertise in creating instances, installing DB2 products, working with HADR, and performance tuning to address time issues will be crucial.
