Role - Product Cybersecurity System Engineer Location - Pune Key Responsibilities Perform threat modelling, risk assessments for genset controllers and associated subsystems. Help manage vulnerability tracking and remediation across embedded control platforms (including CVE monitoring, SBOM, and security patching). Conduct and document cybersecurity testing (static analysis, fuzz testing, and basic penetration testing) under supervision. Support compliance documentation, security verification, and certification efforts for genset products. Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineers to integrate cybersecurity controls into control logic, firmware, and communications architecture. Participate in secure product development lifecycle (SDL) activities per Industry Standards. Support the definition and implementation of cybersecurity requirements for control systems, communication modules, and HMI interfaces. Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats, standards, and regulations relevant to power generation and industrial control systems Required Bachelor s degree in electrical/Electronics/Tele communication/Computers (or related discipline) Experience Range - 3 to 7 years Understanding of control system fundamentals, embedded systems, and real-time controllers. Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and common vulnerabilities. Familiarity with networking protocols (Ethernet, CAN, Modbus, RS-485, TCP/IP). Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams. Preferred Familiarity with genset control architectures or power generation systems. Exposure to industrial or embedded communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, CAN, J1939, etc.). Understanding of IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, ISO21434 or related OT cybersecurity frameworks. Experience embedded firmware development with secure coding practices (C/C++). Knowledge of threat modelling and system-level cybersecurity analysis.
