Description 4 Hybrid Temporary (Possibly Temp to Hire) F/T Experienced IT QA Testers Needed in Lombard, IL Our client, a busy Insurance Company located in Lombard, Illinois, is looking to hire 4 temporary (possibly temporary to hire) hybrid partially remote experienced full-time IT QA Testers. These are temporary (possibly temporary to hire) full-time contract position working Monday-Friday 8 hours a day 40 hours a week. Flexible start time between (7:00am and 9:00am). Mostly working remotely from home, with occasional onsite work days in Lombard, IL. A company laptop will be provided for work purposes only. Job Responsibilities As an IT Quality Assurance (QA) Tester, you will be responsible for evaluating software applications and websites to ensure they meet functional requirements, performance standards, and user experience expectations. Identify, document, and track bugs through manual or automated testing, collaborating with developers to resolve issues and enhance product quality. Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Execution: Design, create, and execute detailed test cases, plans, and scripts based on functional requirements. Defect Identification & Reporting: Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs, malfunctions, and glitches. Document and track bugs in system. Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Team to troubleshoot, isolate, and verify issues. Quality Standards: Monitor, analyze, and ensure software meets company quality standards and user experience requirements. Testing Types: Execute various tests including functional, performance, compatibility, and regression testing. Reporting: Create detailed reports on test progress, results, and product quality. Job Requirements Minimum of 5 years of recent IT QA testing experience. A College Degree in IT or Computer Science is preferred. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of software development life cycles, and testing methodologies. Strong integration/migration experience. Strong data mapping experience. Experience working on large/complex projects. Ability to multitask projects and work well amongst cross-functional teams. Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for reporting bugs and documenting procedures. Data Lake experience is preferred. IT testing tools experience with Jira, Qtest, Postman, etc. is helpful. Automation experience is strongly preferred. Insurance experience is preferred.
