The Revenue Cycle Report Writer plays a key role in transforming Epic EHR revenue cycle data into detailed reports and interactive dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.ResponsibilitiesAssist in gathering and understanding business requirements from stakeholders to support BI solutionsDevelop basic SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze datasetsUtilize data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to create simple, yet effective reports and dashboardsLearn and apply best practices in data modeling and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accuracyCollaborate with senior team members to refine and optimize reporting solutionsCreate and maintain basic interactive visualizations in Tableau and Power BISimplify complex data sets into clear graphics and stage data for visualizationProvide support in exploring new technologies and emerging BI platformsAssist in implementing these technologies and learn from senior team membersDevelop foundational skills in BI platforms, resolve basic technical challenges, optimize performance, and ensure functionalityAssist in developing, debugging, and troubleshooting SQL queries, Tableau/Power BI dashboards, and other reporting functionsSkillsBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field is requiredSix years of related technical experience required, of which 4 years' experience in an Epic EHR reporting environmentProficiency in SQL and data modeling: Ability to write complex queries and design efficient database schemasAdvanced skills in data visualization tools: Proficiency in creating detailed and interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BIStrong programming skills: Advanced knowledge of SQL for complex data manipulation and analysisAbility to translate business requirements into technical specifications: Skill in understanding business needs and converting them into technical solutionsExcellent communication and collaboration skills: Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and team membersProven experience with Epic EHR data and revenue cycle managementCertification in Epic Clarity Data Model and Revenue Data Model requiredAbility to clearly articulate ideas and findings to team members and stakeholdersEffective listening skills to understand requirements and feedbackWillingness to work collaboratively with colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to team goalsOpenness to learning new tools, technologies, and methodologiesAbility to adjust to changing project requirements and prioritiesAdvanced analytical skills to tackle complex issues and develop effective solutionsCreative thinking to approach problems from different anglesCareful and precise approach to data analysis and report creation to ensure accuracy and reliabilityAbility to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesCompany OverviewVisit our main page: Duke University Health System It was founded in undefined, and is headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, us, with a workforce of 10001+ employees.
