POSITION/ ROLE Assistant Manager – Structural (FEA) Simulation LOCATION Faridabad DEPARTMENT/ DIVISION UPBG/RAC/R&D GRADE Assistant Manager ROLE PURPOSE The Structural Simulation (FEA) Engineer is responsible to lead endtoend New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) for Room Air Conditioning (RAC) division using virtual simulation tools, ensuring on time delivery, predictive analysis, cost reduction opportunities & time to market in projects Key Responsibilities Responsible for performing start-to-end simulations inside ANSYS – Static, Modal, Harmonic & Transient modules (with and without rotor dynamic effects) Accountable for collecting input data, clarifying the scope of work, discussion of boundary conditions, setting up meetings and explaining results to the requester Able to build, establish and modify simulation methods/best practices for Structural & Optimization simulations Ensure consistent customer focus, seek customer feedback, evolve, and strengthen processes to support on-time delivery, excellence of quality and consistency in execution Take the lead in technical mentorship, benchmark, and document best practices to improve productivity, consistently drive knowledge sharing and dissemination, and grow domain competency Keep abreast of technology evolution in structural engineering, refrigeration and air-conditioning etc. to continuously promote innovation and validate ideas through virtual proof of concept projects Essential Attributes Technical & Domain Skills Experience working with HVAC systems, especially Room Air Conditioners (RAC) & Commercial Air Conditioners (CAC) Strong fundamentals of FEA, Structural dynamics, Vibrations, Fatigue Hands-on skills of ANSYS Workbench modules (Static, Modal, Transient, Harmonic Analysis) Hands-on skills of Explicit dynamics (Drop, Impact) are preferred Must possess in-depth understanding of material models for metals and plastics Knowledge about noise and vibrations testing, virtual simulation will be added advantage Hands-on experience using FEA Simulation tools: Ansys Mechanical, Nastran/Marc, Dytran, Actran Knowledge about testing standards related to HVAC will be an added advantage Program & Stakeholder Management Proven ability to manage complex, multivariant projects Strong customerfacing and negotiation skills Structured, datadriven execution mindset Behavioral Skills High ownership and accountability Strong decisionmaking under pressure Excellent communication and leadership skills KEY DELIVERABLES / KPIS Accuracy and reliability of simulation deliverables Timely delivery of simulation reports supporting project milestones Reduction in physical prototype iterations through predictive analysis New Competency development Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset WORK EXPERIENCE (In Years) > 3 Years Qualifications Required BE/BTech/ME/MTech - Mechanical/Aerospace/Automobile Engineering (Design/Mechanics/Materials) with reputed institutes OPERATIONAL REPORTING Manager R&D – Simulations FUNCTIONAL REPORTING Manager R&D – Simulations
