Role Overview

A nationally recognized design firm is seeking a Project Manager - Civil Engineer with a positive and collaborative work style for their Charlotte, NC office. The selected individual will work closely with internal engineers, landscape architects, and architects on a variety of project types including healthcare, civic, K-12, higher education, commercial/retail, and office developments. Key responsibilities include: Conducting site visits

Preparing due diligence reports

Developing construction drawings and calculation packages

Managing permitting through local jurisdictions

Supporting construction administration

Preferred Candidate Profile: Strong design experience across diverse project types

Resourceful and creative problem solver

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to simplify complex ideas clearly

Strong time management and organizational skills

Detail-oriented with a passion for design

Comfortable researching and navigating permitting processes

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing projects from concept through final design

• Monitoring budgets, schedules, and quality

• Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Supporting business development and client satisfaction

• Ideal Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred

• 5+ years of experience in construction document production

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD, or similar tools
