About the role
Civil Engineering CAD Draftsman (5-15 Years Experience) We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering CAD Draftsman to prepare civil design drawings with a strong emphasis on stormwater management, erosion control, and site development. This role supports land development, utility design, and construction plans, working closely with engineers and project managers to deliver quality plans to our clients. Key Responsibilities Prepare civil design drawings (site, grading, utilities)
Draft stormwater and drainage plans
Develop erosion and sediment control plans
Draft site development plans (commercial, small commercial, residential, municipal)
Process survey/design data into CAD drawings
Revise drawings per redlines and updates
Perform QC checks (grading, drainage, consistency)
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and survey crews
Contractor coordination and construction stakeout support
Produce deliverables using Autodesk Civil 3D
Maintain organized files and clear written communication
Preferred Experience Stormwater design (detention/retention, culverts, drainage systems)
Erosion control permitting
Land development and small commercial projects
Utility design/coordination
Telecommunications A&E experience
Survey field experience preferred
