About the role
Job Summary We are seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with project managers, estimators, and engineering professionals to develop value-engineered, cost-effective solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in geotechnical, civil, or structural engineering and a strong background in foundation and earth retention design. Key Responsibilities Develop innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions for: Deep foundations
Earth retention systems
Slope stabilization
Grouting
Ground improvement projects
Prepare preliminary engineering designs and calculations.
Provide technical engineering support to the preconstruction and estimating teams.
Develop, review, and oversee shop drawings and construction documents.
Support project managers throughout project execution.
Perform engineering calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
Assist with value engineering and design optimization to improve project efficiency and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
3-7 years of experience in civil, geotechnical, or structural engineering.
Experience with geotechnical design-build construction projects.
Strong knowledge of foundation systems, retaining structures, and ground improvement methods.
Preferred Skills Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
Working knowledge of Mathcad and Microsoft Excel.
Experience using one or more of the following design software: DeepEx
PLAXIS
L-Pile
AllPile
SNail
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in heavy civil construction, geotechnical engineering, foundation engineering, infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or transportation projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
