About the role
As an experienced Software Testing and QA professional in the Oil & Gas industry, you will be responsible for the following: - Analyzing business requirements, system specifications, and design documents to develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases. - Designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks (UI, API, and backend testing) and writing robust, reusable, and scalable automated test scripts. - Integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). - Designing and executing manual test cases including functional, regression, integration, interface, and environmental testing. - Collaborating with development and QA teams to identify test scenarios, automate test cases, and ensure complete test coverage. - Analyzing test results, logging defects, and tracking resolution using defect management tools. - Participating in Agile activities including sprint planning, reviews, and daily standups. - Validating bug fixes and performing collateral impact testing. - Continuously improving test frameworks, processes, and automation coverage. - Supporting and mentoring QA team members on testing best practices. - Ensuring compliance with company quality standards, procedures, and policies. - Planning and managing testing activities in line with project timelines and delivery schedules. Required Skills: - Handson experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, WebDriver, or Appium. - Strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages. - Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or NUnit. - Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP protocols, and web technologies. - Experience with Git and version control practices. - Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and collaborative environment. Preferred: - ISTQB, Certified Selenium Professional, or equivalent testing certifications. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 7+ years of experience in Software Testing and QA. - 3+ years of experience in test automation. - Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is preferred.
