Engineering degree in related field
Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
Work experience in the respective position no less than 10 years
Experience in developing design documentation in accordance with RoK regulatory documents
Knowledge of International O&G standards
Manage process discipline work, designated focal point for projects involving conceptual, feasibility, FEED and detailed design of the onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities
Responsible for Process and Plant analysis, design, specification, technical safety and services related to production and utility systems and all types of oil field infrastructure
Manage the process input to Basis for Design, Design Reports, Engineering and Technical Studies
Carry out Conceptual studies / Basic design and provide technical support during detailed design phase of the projects for any project related to process plants such as oil & gas production, debottlenecking/capacity enhancement, specialty chemicals, stabilized products, pipeline, utilities, water treatment, gas sweeting, Sulphur recovery and tail gas treating, mercaptans removal, fractionation, crude stabilization, dewpoint control, turbo expansion, gas compression, sour water stripping, produced water treatment, TEG Dehydration etc.
Requires the use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, principles and practices of the field and related disciplines
Development of process simulation models for the facility to be designed / upgraded and advanced controls/process optimization – Should be familiar with simulators like HYSYS, PIPEFLOW, PIPEPHASE, PIPESIM, FLARENET, FRED etc.
Prepare and co-ordinate Process Engineering deliverables including scope of work, data sheets, flow diagrams and technical reports
Independently perform all conventional design work of the functional area subject matter
Checking and Preparation of heat and material balance
Checking and Development of process flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, finalizing system design parameters / carry out necessary calculations
Specifying equipment/systems such as heat exchangers, vessels, pumps, reactors, etc.; and instruments
Checking Cause & Effect Diagrams, SAFE Charts, Line Lists, Tie-in Schedules
Write Design Philosophies / Operating / Commissioning Guidelines / manuals
Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as resolution of conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements etc.
Independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problem and methods
Undertake checking and approval activities in accordance with company procedures
Undertake internal QA checks on discipline activities and deliverables
Plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
Plans, budgets and organizes Process group workload / responsibilities for the assigned project
Provides specialist advice on matters affecting verification and technical safety
Support Safety & Environmental Case Thorough Review process where required
Carries out safety & environmental studies and produces technical reports
Performance / review of safety studies such as QRA, FRA, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA, flare radiation and dispersion studies
Development / review of safety designs such as hazardous area classifications, fire gas detection system layout, and safety equipment drawings
Identification of issues that impede project progress, variation to project scope and reporting them to Engineering Manager/Project Managers/Delivery Manager
Provides training, mentoring and technical guidance to Process Engineers working in the group and train up National Senior Process engineer to Lead level
Liaise with Clients, Contractors, and Vendors
