Lead Professional - Building Technology Systems

As a highly motivated Principal Telecommunications Engineer & Team Lead at WSP, your role involves leading the design, coordination, and delivery of complex ICT and Telecommunications systems across diverse sectors including healthcare, aviation, transport, commercial, data centers, and mixed-use developments. You will provide technical leadership in structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, ICT networks, smart buildings, and digital infrastructure aligned with Australian and international standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the Technology Systems team in India, ensuring efficient project outcomes and maintaining alignment with the Australian leadership team. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the planning, design, and delivery of ICT and telecommunications systems across medium to large-scale projects - Develop structured cabling designs (copper and fibre) in accordance with industry standards - Deliver passive and active network infrastructure designs including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and converged IP networks - Coordinate ICT systems integration with MEP, AV, BMS, security, and other building systems - Prepare technical specifications, reports, schematics, drawings, and tender documentation - Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination across multiple projects - Lead and oversee the Technology Systems team in India, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivery standards - Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and professional development for team members Qualifications & Certifications: - Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline - 10+ years experience in ICT/building technology consultancy or systems integration - Team lead experience (highly desirable) - BICSI RCDD (preferred) - Cisco or other relevant certifications (desirable) Additional Company Details: WSP is one of the world's leading professional services consulting firms, dedicated to local communities and driven by international brainpower.
