About the role
Role Overview: As an Offensive Security Engineer specializing in Ransomware Penetration Testing, you will be responsible for executing complex Red Team engagements, simulating real-world ransomware/malware attacker scenarios to identify critical vulnerabilities. Your role will involve developing custom tools, scripts, and exploit code, documenting findings, collaborating with the Blue Team to prioritize vulnerabilities, and participating in knowledge sharing activities. Key Responsibilities: - Execute Red Team engagements as a penetration tester to uncover critical vulnerabilities - Identify, research, and exploit various vulnerabilities, including zero-days, to gain unauthorized access - Develop custom tools, scripts, and exploit code - Document findings in detailed reports with proofs of concept and recommendations - Collaborate with the Blue Team to prioritize vulnerabilities and improve security posture - Mentor junior team members and present findings for external consumption Qualifications: - Minimum 5+ years of experience in offensive security engagements - Proven experience in Red Team engagements - Expertise in operating systems (Mac, Linux, etc.) and scripting languages (Python, Ruby, etc.) - Coding skills to automate tasks, customize attacks, and create payloads - Strong understanding of networking concepts and network analysis tools - Knowledge of exploit development, post-exploitation techniques, and threat landscape - Familiarity with security principles and various types of malware - Ability to think creatively and problem-solve effectively - Excellent communication and collaboration skills Role Overview: As an Offensive Security Engineer specializing in Ransomware Penetration Testing, you will be responsible for executing complex Red Team engagements, simulating real-world ransomware/malware attacker scenarios to identify critical vulnerabilities.
