Job Title: Sr. QA Engineer (Automation & Manual 50:50) Role: FTE role Location: Pune (Hybrid) TOP SKILLS: At least 7 years exp is required. Manual testing, Automation tools: Playwright + Java (test ng), Backend - Rest Assured Experience in using cursor AI tool to create automation test cases. Note: Only for someone who can join in less than 15 days of time Job Description: Exp: 7 to 10 yrs Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced QA Lead who can not only execute high-quality manual testing but also understand the business domain and the complexities of interlinked applications. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to design and implement QA processes, guide the testing strategy, and mentor junior QA team members. Experience in automation tools such as Playwright or Robot Framework is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end QA process for complex, interconnected applications. Understand business requirements and translate them into effective test plans and test cases. Perform manual functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure software quality. Identify gaps in the QA process and implement best practices for testing, defect tracking, and reporting. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure alignment. Guide the team in adopting QA methodologies and ensure adherence to quality standards. Utilize QA tools such as Playwright or Robot Framework for automation where applicable. Mentor and coach junior QA engineers to improve their technical and domain knowledge. Prepare detailed QA documentation, including test plans, bug reports, and process guidelines. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software by managing testing timelines and priorities. Required Skills & Experience: 78 years of experience in software testing, with at least 23 years in a lead/mentoring role. Strong exp with Automation testing and Manual testing Skilled in Automation tools: Playwright + Java (test ng), Backend - Rest Assured is a must. Experienced in using cursor AI tool to create automation test cases. Hands-on experience with QA automation tools such as Playwright or Robot Framework (basic scripting preferred). Experience in API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the build process.
