As a Sr. QA/SDET Engineer for the Windows File Analytics Platform, you will play a crucial role in building a next-generation Windows File System Analytics & Security Observability Platform. Your expertise in Windows file systems, SMB protocol, ACLs, automation, debugging, and backend validation will be paramount for the success of the project. Key Responsibilities: - Build scalable automation frameworks using Python - Validate Windows file system scanning and analytics pipelines - Validate SMB-based file operations and access behaviors - Analyze Windows Event Logs, audit logs, telemetry, and diagnostics - Perform scale, performance, stress, and reliability testing - Debug complex issues involving NTFS, SMB, storage, networking - Collaborate with backend, platform, security, and data engineering teams Qualifications Required: Must Have: - Strong Python programming and automation skills - Strong QA/SDET background with backend/system testing experience - Robust understanding of: - Windows File System / NTFS - ACLs & file permissions - File metadata & audit events - SMB/CIFS protocol - Experience debugging Windows logs and system issues - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills - Experience with API, integration, and data validation testing Preferred: - Experience with file audit/security products - Exposure to anomaly or ransomware detection systems - Performance and scalability testing experience - Exposure to observability/monitoring platforms - Storage/NAS or distributed systems exposure - Good understanding of containers and Kubernetes (K8s) - Experience validating containerized or microservices-based deployments In this role, you will focus on Python coding & automation, Windows/NTFS fundamentals, SMB protocol understanding, debugging depth, system testing approach, and scale & performance validation mindset. Additionally, having advanced skills in SMB packet analysis (Wireshark), security analytics, ransomware simulation/testing, and Windows internals knowledge would be considered nice-to-have.
