MS Power BI Developer

Certifications: Microsoft Certified would be advantageous, but not necessary. XTG Panel: Rajesh Tatineni Job Summary: We are seeking a Mid-Level Power BI Developer to join our analytics team. The role involves developing robust reports and dashboards with financial data, working with advanced DAX calculations and SQL queries. You will have experience in building materialized views and integrating data from various sources, with expertise in Azure Synapse, PostgreSQL or similar data sources. Familiarity with Azure Databricks is a plus. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, focusing on financial data insights and performance metrics. - Perform functional testing of one\own as well as other reports done by peers in the same team. - Write complex SQL queries to retrieve, transform, and aggregate data, while building and managing materialized views in third-party applications to optimize reporting. - Implement and modify DAX functions for calculations and complex business logic in Power BI reports. - Pull data from multiple data sources such as Azure Synapse, PostgreSQL, Azure Databricks or similar ones. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, define KPIs, and translate them into technical documentation. - Ensure scheduled schema, dataset refreshes, and Power BI report updates are completed successfully daily basis and on time. - Develop comprehensive documentation and test cases for reports and dashboards. Requirements Qualifications: - Bachelor\or Master\degree in a relevant field. - At least 5 years of experience with Power BI, with a proven track record of building reports and dashboards. - Strong proficiency in SQL and DAX. - Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, PostgreSQL or similar data sources. - Experience working with Azure Databricks is an advantage. - Excellent communication skills for liaising with business stakeholders and gathering requirements.
