Development Engineer – Job Description Position: Development Engineer Department: Development Reports To: Development Manager / Production Head Key Responsibilities Support new product development and trial planning. Coordinate with customer, quality and production departments for new parts. Study customer drawings, specifications and technical requirements. Prepare trial plans, process flow, and control plans. Monitor trial production and collect trial data. Analyze defects and suggest process improvements. Prepare PPAP documents and development records. Support pattern, core box and tooling development. Maintain development activity reports. Quality & Safety Ensure new product trials meet customer quality standards. Follow safety procedures during trials and development activities. Support internal audits and safety training. Cost & Efficiency Reduce trial rejections and development cost. Improve process capability and product quality. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Competencies Basic knowledge of foundry manufacturing processes. Ability to read customer drawings and technical standards. Basic understanding of PPAP, APQP and quality tools. MS Excel and reporting skills. Good communication and coordination skills. Qualification & Experience Diploma / B.E. Mechanical / Foundry Technology. 0 to 2 years experience in foundry development / NPD activities.
