About the role
The role of a SDET - Software Developement Engineer in Test professional is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software and products. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive feature test plans based on requirements. Define testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and objectives. Create detailed and effective test cases. Automate and execute test cases, ensuring adequate test coverage. Analyze test results and provide feedback to the development team. Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks. Ensure the reliability and efficiency of automated test suites. Work closely with the development team to prioritize and validate identified issues. Provide regular status updates on the quality of the software. Identify areas for process improvement within the QA team. Implement best practices to enhance overall testing efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging QA technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts. Participate in project planning and release management activities. Skills Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) Proficiency in REST and web services APIs testing/ automation using Postman & Rest Assured Strong analytical skills to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot issues. Proactive problem-solving approach. Thorough and meticulous in test planning and execution. Ability to catch even subtle issues that may impact product quality Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Flexibility in addressing new challenges and adopting new technologies. Experience and Qualifications 2-4 years of proven experience as a Test engineer with extensive experience in quality assurance and automation testing. B.Tech/M.Tech in computer science, information technology or a related field. Experience in writing automation scripts using Behavior driven development[BDD] and knowledge on TDD is a plus. Demonstrated experience in measuring and reporting quality-related metrics to identify trends and proactively solve problems Experience using test cases & test execution management tools (like Zephyr scale), Defect management tools (like Jira) Experience in writing SQL queries Experience on JAVA SCRIPTING is a plus Experience on Mobile Automation is a plus Role: Software Development - Other Industry Type: IT Services & Consulting Department: Engineering - Software & QA Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Software Development Education UG: Any Graduate PG: Any Postgraduate
