Senior ML Engineer Reinforcement Learning and Prediction

You will be working as a Senior ML Engineer (RL and Forecasting) at Zillwork, a Singapore-incorporated AI company focused on creating economic opportunities at scale. Operating out of Chennai and Coimbatore, we are a pre-launch, founder-led company with a technically ambitious and globally minded team. Our technology stack includes fine-tuned multilingual speech models, real-time geo-intelligent matching at scale, and a homegrown AI engine designed from first principles to serve markets and communities where existing technology falls short. In this role, you will be responsible for building two technically complex systems on the platform: - Developing a PPO reinforcement learning policy for fair multi-objective matching. - Creating a Temporal Fusion Transformer demand forecasting system to predict platform activity 7 days ahead by geo-cell and category. Your responsibilities will include: - Building a PPO policy using RLlib (Ray) with a multi-objective reward focusing on quality, fairness, and satisfaction. - Implementing Temporal Fusion Transformer for geo-cell demand forecasting at a city scale. - Integrating Kafka for time-series data to capture real-time demand signals. - Performing ClickHouse aggregations to generate demand-supply heatmaps. - Developing a proactive alert system based on predicted demand shifts. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of experience in ML engineering with production deployments. - Hands-on experience in Reinforcement Learning, specifically with PPO, DQN, or policy gradient in a production environment. - Proficiency in RLlib (Ray) or Stable Baselines is preferred. - Experience in time-series forecasting using TFT, Prophet, DeepAR, or LSTM models in production. - Familiarity with Apache Kafka for ML feature pipelines. - Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and Kubeflow. Candidates with experience in multi-objective RL, geo-cell demand forecasting, and ClickHouse real-time analytics will be considered a bonus.
