About the role
Role Overview: As a Senior Manager MEP Projects at Zyeta, you will play a strategic and execution-focused leadership role in driving end-to-end MEP excellence across multiple large-scale projects. Your role demands technical expertise, discipline, and hands-on leadership to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems into overall project delivery. You will be deeply involved in planning, reviewing, mentoring, and resolving high-impact technical and execution challenges to achieve flawless outcomes. Your responsibility goes beyond managing MEP packages; you will focus on building predictability, precision, and performance into every layer of execution. Key Responsibilities: - MEP Leadership & Delivery Excellence - Lead MEP delivery across multiple projects ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective execution. - Drive operational discipline throughout all MEP phases including design review, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover. - Establish standardized processes, checklists, and quality benchmarks for MEP execution. - Conduct periodic project audits to identify technical, commercial, and scheduling risks. - Ensure alignment of all MEP systems with client requirements, statutory norms, and Zyetas delivery standards. - Build predictability and rhythm into MEP execution across projects. - Strategic Planning & Scheduling - Develop integrated MEP execution strategies aligned with overall project timelines. - Review and validate detailed MEP schedules prepared by Project Managers and site teams. - Ensure logical sequencing, clash-free coordination, and realistic resource planning. - Monitor critical path activities and drive timely interventions to protect milestones. - Proactively forecast manpower, material, and vendor requirements to prevent delays. - Utilize MS Project and other monitoring tools to track performance, productivity, and cost metrics. - Technical Governance & Design Coordination - Review MEP drawings, BOQs, value engineering proposals, and technical submittals. - Lead cross-functional coordination between design, interiors, civil, and MEP teams to eliminate rework. - Drive early detection and resolution of design conflicts through structured review mechanisms. - Oversee testing and commissioning protocols to ensure smooth system handover. - Maintain version control and structured documentation across all MEP packages. - Vendor & Commercial Management - Lead vendor evaluation, onboarding, and performance management for MEP contractors. - Monitor contract compliance, billing certification, cost control, and variation management. - Drive accountability with vendors on timelines, quality standards, and safety norms. - Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure commercial discipline. - Balance strong relationship management with performance enforcement. - Stakeholder & Client Management - Represent Zyetas MEP leadership in client and consultant meetings. - Provide structured updates on MEP progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. - Ensure transparent communication across all stakeholders to prevent misalignment. - Build trust through clarity, technical depth, and delivery reliability. - Leadership & Capability Building - Lead and mentor MEP engineers, site managers, and technical teams across projects. - Build a strong second line capable of independently managing large-scale MEP scopes. - Foster a culture of ownership, technical rigor, and proactive problem-solving. - Lead by example through on-site reviews, schedule validations, and quality checks. - Drive continuous improvement in planning, monitoring, and execution frameworks. Qualifications & Experience: - A seasoned MEP leader with deep technical expertise across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. - A strategic planner with a strong understanding of large-scale project dependencies and execution complexities. - A structured thinker who focuses on building systems, not just solutions. - A decisive problem solver who addresses root causes and prevents recurrence. - A people-focused leader who balances empathy with performance accountability. - A doer who thrives in high-speed, high-responsibility environments. - 1215 years of experience in MEP project management within commercial interiors, real estate, or large construction projects. - Proven experience leading MEP delivery across multiple large-scale projects simultaneously. - Strong background in planning, scheduling, and cost control. - High proficiency in MS Project and project monitoring tools. - Demonstrated ability to improve MEP delivery performance and operational predictability. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. - Experience working with enterprise clients and complex consultant ecosystems is preferred.
