About the role
The Systems Application specialist will design, develop, test, and maintain UiPath robotic process automation (RPA) solutions for the Tennessee Department of Finance & Administration.
The role supports both traditional linear automation and emerging Agentic AI initiatives, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient citizen services.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and implement UiPath automation solutions (attended, unattended, scheduled bots).

Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable workflows using UiPath Studio, StudioX, Orchestrator, AI Center, and Action Center.

Create reusable components, libraries, and templates for enterprise‑wide automation.

Integrate automations with APIs, REST/SOAP services, SQL databases, document management systems, and cloud platforms.

Implement secure automation practices aligned with state cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance standards.

Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of bots.

Monitor bot performance, resolve production issues, and optimize reliability and efficiency.

Develop technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and support citizen service modernization through intelligent automation.

Design and implement Agentic AI solutions using UiPath Autopilot, AI Center, Document Understanding, and generative AI capabilities.

Build human‑in‑the‑loop workflows, ensure responsible AI practices, and evaluate emerging AI technologies.

Required Qualifications
-
UiPath Studio, StudioX, Orchestrator, AI Center, Action Center, and Document Understanding (5‑7 years).

REFramework and enterprise RPA design patterns (5‑7 years).
-
API integrations, REST/SOAP services, SQL databases (5‑7 years).
-
OCR technologies and intelligent document processing (5‑7 years).
-
Generative AI, LLM integration, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration (5‑7 years).
-
Programming/scripting languages such as C#, VB.NET, Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript (5‑7 years).
-
Cloud platforms and enterprise authentication/security concepts (5‑7 years).
-
Agile/Scrum development methodologies (5‑7 years).
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with government‑level compliance, security, and privacy regulations.
-
Certifications such as UiPath Advanced RPA Developer, AI Center Specialist, or related cloud security credentials.

Familiarity with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques and prompt engineering best practices.
