Role: API Gateway Engineer Location: Noida, Gurgaon, Hyderabad Contract Desired Competencies (Technical / Behavioral Competency )Must-Hav e Hands-on experience with API Gateway platforms such as Apigee, IBM DataPower, Kong, MuleSoft, Axway, or Azure API Management . Strong understanding of REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, XML, and OpenAPI specifications . Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, SAML, and SSL/TLS security protocols . Knowledge of API traffic management, throttling, and load balancing . Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments . Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab . Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills .Responsibility of / Expectations from the Rol e1 Install, configure, and administer API Gateway platforms (Apigee, IBM DataPower, Kong, Axway, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, or similar) .2 Design and implement API security policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS, and API key authentication .3 Manage API lifecycle, routing policies, traffic management, and rate limiting .4 Configure API proxies, gateways, developer portals, and backend integrations .5 Support CI/CD integration and API deployment automation .6 Collaborate with application development teams for API onboarding and integrations .7 Implement logging, analytics, and monitoring solutions .8 Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards .9 Participate in production support and incident resolution activities . .
