Backend Developer SAP BTP CAPM / HANA DB / Node.js India | Contract | Remote About the Role Our consulting client is looking for a Backend Developer SAP BTP CAPM / HANA DB / Node.js to support the build of a Procurement AI Agent platform. This role will focus on backend services, SAP BTP CAPM development, HANA Cloud data modelling, Node.js APIs, authentication, service orchestration, logging, auditability, and deployment support. This is a hands-on technical delivery role suited for a mid to senior backend developer who is comfortable working across API development, data modelling, application security, performance tuning, and production readiness in a lean project delivery environment. Responsibilities - Design and develop SAP CAPM services using Node.js, CDS models, service definitions, handlers, validations, and business logic. - Create and maintain HANA Cloud tables, views, calculation-ready structures, persistence models, indexing, and performance-aware queries. - Build secure REST/OData APIs for frontend applications, AI agents, SAP ARIBA data, bid evaluation, supplier scoring, risk flags, audit logs, and workflow actions. - Expose backend services for AI agent orchestration, prompt inputs, retrieval context, generated outputs, scoring results, and recommendation auditability. - Implement backend logic for RFP lifecycle, supplier responses, bid normalization support, scoring persistence, approval status, and exception management. - Implement authentication and authorization using SAP BTP XSUAA, role collections, JWT validation, destinations, and secure service-to-service access. - Coordinate with integration teams for ARIBA/S4HANA payloads, data mapping, API contracts, event payloads, retries, and error handling. - Implement audit logging for AI outputs, user actions, scoring changes, recommendation overrides, supplier clarification history, and system sync events. - Support deployment to SAP BTP, setting configuration, service bindings, Git workf .
