Technical Business Analyst Mainframe / CICS / DB2 / IMS Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, or Pune | Contract | Work Model: Hybrid About the Role Our consulting client is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst with strong mainframe technology knowledge and proven experience translating business requirements into clear technical documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, testing teams, and change and release functions. This role requires a combination of system analysis, requirements management, stakeholder communication, testing support, and SDLC knowledge. Applicants should have at least six years of relevant experience and be comfortable working across multiple priorities in a collaborative delivery environment. Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.Prepare detailed requirements documentation, business rules, process flows, and functional specifications.Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve gaps, and support informed decision-making.Analyze systems and processes involving CICS, DB2, IMS, NDM, SFTP, XML, and batch processing.Perform process mapping, data analysis, and data mapping.Support development and testing teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.Assist with test planning, defect tracking, issue analysis, and incident resolution.Provide change and release support across production and non-production environments.Participate in change management activities and maintain accurate project documentation.Collaborate with business, technology, operations, and support teams.Track requirements, defects, incidents, and project activities using JIRA and ServiceNow (SNOW).Support Agile ceremonies and contribute throughout the SDLC.Use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams for analysis, documentation, reporting, and communication.Organize and prioritize multiple deliverables while meeting project timelines. Required Skills / What You Bring Six or more years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar professional.Strong knowledge of CICS, DB2, IMS, NDM, and SFTP.Experience with requirements gathering and requirements documentation.Strong understanding of business rules and system analysis.Experience supporting testing, defect tracking, change, and release activities.Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodology.Experience with process mapping, data analysis, and data mapping.Technical understanding of XML and batch processing.Experience with incident resolution and problem solving.Knowledge of CHIP and composition processes.Experience using JIRA and ServiceNow (SNOW).Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.Strong stakeholder communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization abilities.Strong decision-making, adaptability, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
