About the role
- Design, configure, provision, and manage hardware and software configurations (Azure Cloud services and Windows Servers). - Ensure compliance with data governance and State data privacy regulations and manage user permissions. - Design, implement, and monitor automated database jobs, maintenance tasks, and ETL workflows. - Write and maintain robust scripts (SSIS, PowerShell, etc.) to automate routine DBA tasks, deployments, backups, and health checks. - Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and manage indexing strategies. - Resolve hardware, software, and network issues. - Maintain and test robust disaster recovery (DR) strategies and perform failover testing. - Provide 24/7 support for mission-critical systems as needed. - Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support application development and data integration through environment configuration, IIS administration, and implementation of security and performance best practices.
