About the role
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programs. - Write simple and complex SQL queries from scratch against normalized Oracle transactional databases. - Analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate tables, relationships, joins, and business rules needed to answer complex business questions. - Extract, validate, transform, and analyze operational data for reporting, research, grants, and executive requests. - Develop and maintain automated SQL processes, scheduled database jobs, and recurring data refreshes. - Troubleshoot SQL scripts, automated jobs, and data quality issues. - Create efficient, reusable, and well-documented SQL code. - Support recurring operational reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), legislative reporting, and research initiatives. - Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and communicate analytical findings. - Support Tableau dashboards and other data visualization initiatives as needed.
