About the role
- Install, configure, and support organization's LAN, WAN, and Internet systems or network segments. - Maintain network hardware and software. - Monitor network availability and perform maintenance to support network availability. - Supervise other network support and client server specialists. - Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. - Coordinate development, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN. - Maintain network's physical and logical structures including connections. - Analyze user support statistics and recommend measures. - Prepare and analyze statistics on network utilization and availability. - Prepare training courses and provide user support and training. - Perform tuning and capacity planning to enhance network performance. - Assess existing network, software, and solutions and recommend improvements based on specifications and cybersecurity best practices. - Configure equipment and software to meet business needs; train others and document solutions. - Provide services individually or as part of larger projects. - Provide technical support and assist with infrastructure design. - Respond to Tier 1 and 2 network and software support requests. - Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. - Respond to all break/fix requests related to network resources. - Design network extensions and connections. - Assist with configuration and deployment of network hardware and communications infrastructure. - Maintain up-to-date project, architecture documentation, inventory, and maintenance records. - Monitor network resources for faults and traffic anomalies. - Resolve user connection issues. - Maintain detailed network change history. - Support ITS Field Maintenance with communications implementation and troubleshooting. - Support efforts to improve cybersecurity controls and defenses. - Support threat hunting and mitigation efforts. - Manage time and resource constraints.
