Experience: 8+ years overall IT experience; 5+ years enterprise applications architecture Focus: M&A carve-outs, application cloning, Day-1 readiness, TSA exit Environment: Fast-paced, deal-driven, multi-vendor Role Summary The Enterprise Applications Architect is responsible for architecting and governing application carve-outs, clones, and separations in support of M&A transactions. This role blends hands-on technical depth with architectural leadership, vendor oversight, and execution rigor to deliver Day-1 readiness and post-close stabilization under aggressive timelines. Core Responsibilities Application Architecture & M&A Delivery Lead application carve-out, cloning, and lift-and-shift strategies across complex application portfolios Define target-state application and data architectures aligned to deal timelines and TSA exit objectives Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, risk, cost, and future scalability Identify and remediate application, data, and integration dependencies impacted by separation Integration & Data Architecture Design and govern interfaces, middleware, APIs, and batch integrations Define data separation, migration, and reconciliation approaches Ensure architectural consistency across environments (prod / non-prod) Program & Vendor Leadership Provide architectural oversight to system integrators and software vendors Review and approve solution designs, migration approaches, and cutover plans Proactively identify and mitigate execution and cutover risks Advise program leadership on technical trade-offs and sequencing decisions Roles and Responsibilities Cross-Functional Execution Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, IAM, and network teams Translate business separation requirements into actionable technical designs Support end-to-end testing strategy, test case development, and validation Lead cutover, go-live, and hypercare planning Required Experience & Skills 5+ years of enterprise application architecture and delivery experience Hands-on experience with COTS application deployment, cloning, and integration Deep expertise in application separation, cloning, and lift-and-shift migrations Strong understanding of enterprise data and integration architectures Experience managing multi-vendor delivery models Proven ability to operate in ambiguous, high-pressure M&A environments Strong executive and business-facing communication skills Preferred Experience Direct experience with M&A carve-outs, divestitures, or acquisitions Cloud and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) Exposure to Day-1 readiness, TSA management, and post-close stabilization
