Role Overview: As the Software Engineering Manager Data Cloud, you are responsible for delivery execution, team performance, and operational excellence for a cloud-native engineering team. You will partner closely with Development Leads who drive technical design and architecture, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, at high quality, and at scale. This role requires strong understanding of cloud, data, and AI concepts, with primary focus on execution, team leadership, and delivery outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Own end-to-end delivery of team commitments (scope, schedule, quality) - Drive predictable execution through strong sprint planning, backlog management, and risk mitigation - Track and improve delivery metrics (predictability, cycle time, defect rates, stability) - Lead and manage engineering team; set expectations and ensure accountability - Coach engineers on cloud, data, AI-aware practices, and software quality - Ensure alignment with architecture defined by Enterprise Architecture and Development Leads - Support adoption of AI-driven development practices (AI-DLC) - Maintain working knowledge of AI systems, Bedrock, and MCP-based integrations - Own production readiness, system stability, and incident response - Ensure compliance with FDA, HIPAA, and internal quality standards Technical & Domain Expectations: - Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS) - Experience with microservices, APIs, and distributed systems - Familiarity with streaming systems (Kafka or equivalent) - Working knowledge of AI platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock) and agent-based patterns - Understanding of data quality requirements for AI-driven systems - Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, MCP patterns) Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field - 10+ years software engineering experience - 5+ years managing engineering teams - Experience delivering high-scale cloud applications - Strong leadership and communication skills - Experience working in global (US + India) delivery models Additional Details: The R&D organization at ANSR MedTech is designed to take on meaningful ownership across the product lifecycle, particularly in areas where scale, focus, and execution discipline are essential. The teams are based in India and embedded in day-to-day delivery, not isolated support functions. Technical direction, quality standards, and product outcomes are globally aligned, with strong local execution and accountability. The organization is built under a BuildOperateTransfer (BOT) model with ANSR, with responsibilities expanding as the site matures. Success is measured by engineering quality, predictable delivery, adherence to quality systems, reduced defects over time, and strong collaboration with global R&D teams.
