As a Mechanical Draftsman Autodesk Inventor at Azista Space, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of next-generation satellite bus structures and aerospace subsystems for critical space missions worldwide. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and component designs using Autodesk Inventor. - Creating accurate 2D manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly drawings following engineering and aerospace standards. - Applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure manufacturability and quality compliance. - Generating and managing Bill of Materials (BOMs), exploded views, interface drawings, and supporting documentation. - Implementing engineering change requests and maintaining drawing revisions throughout the product lifecycle. - Collaborating with various teams including mechanical design, manufacturing, quality, and production to resolve design and documentation issues. - Supporting the development of satellite structures, aerospace assemblies, and precision mechanical systems. - Ensuring all drawings meet established drafting standards, configuration control requirements, and manufacturing best practices. - Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives focused on design efficiency, documentation quality, and production readiness. Qualifications and Skills required for this role include: - Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. - 25 years of experience in mechanical drafting, CAD modeling, or design documentation. - Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modeling and 2D drafting. - Solid understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensioning, tolerancing, and drafting standards. - Experience with machined components, sheet metal parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings. - Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and fabrication practices. - Ability to interpret engineering concepts and translate them into production-ready technical documentation. - Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and documentation accuracy. - Effective communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional engineering environments.
