About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop mission-critical firmware powering next-generation satellite systems and aerospace platforms. Based in Ahmedabad, this role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded technologies, collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and contribute directly to scalable satellite production programs serving global customers. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers passionate about embedded systems, aerospace innovation, firmware architecture, and high-reliability electronics. Your work will directly impact the performance, reliability, and success of real-world space missions. Roles & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware in Embedded C for microcontroller-based aerospace systems.Translate hardware schematics, technical specifications, and system requirements into robust firmware solutions.Collaborate with hardware, systems, validation, and test engineers to deliver fully integrated embedded platforms.Debug and validate firmware using oscilloscopes, DSOs, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other laboratory instrumentation.Develop low-level drivers and firmware modules for peripherals, sensors, communication interfaces, and control systems.Implement and maintain firmware version control, configuration management, and software documentation practices.Optimize code performance, memory utilization, and system reliability for resource-constrained embedded environments.Support board bring-up, hardware validation, integration testing, and root-cause analysis during development and production phases.Conduct firmware verification, troubleshooting, and performance testing to ensure compliance with reliability and mission requirements.Create and maintain technical documentation, including firmware architecture, design specifications, test plans, and validation reports. Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.46 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development.Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming and low-level firmware design.Experience developing firmware for ARM Cortex 32-bit microcontrollers.Solid understanding of digital electronics, analog electronics, microcontroller architecture, and hardware-software integration.Expertise in debugging embedded systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DSOs, and multimeters.Strong knowledge of embedded communication protocols:UARTSPII2CEthernetUSBRS232RS485Experience with ADC/DAC interfacing, sensor integration, and peripheral driver development.Ability to read, interpret, and work from electronic schematics, datasheets, and hardware documentation.Experience with firmware testing, validation, and troubleshooting methodologies.Familiarity with version control systems and embedded software lifecycle practices.Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications (Optional): Experience with MISRA C and safety-critical coding standards.Strong background in bare-metal firmware development and low-level driver implementation.Hands-on experience with Microchip SAM V71 microcontrollers and MPLAB IDE.Exposure to aerospace, satellite, defense, avionics, or other high-reliability embedded systems.Understanding of design practices for mission-critical, fault-tolerant, and production-scale embedded platforms.Experience working within regulated engineering environments and hardware validation processes.
