QA Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile & API Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for both mobile applications (Android/iOS) and API testing. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Appium and API automation tools such as RestAssured , Postman/Newman , and will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of mobile apps and backend services through robust automated testing. Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable mobile automation frameworks for Android and iOS platforms. Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Appium (Java/Python). Create, maintain, and execute API automation test scripts using RestAssured, Postman/Newman, or Karate. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.). Collaborate closely with QA, Development, and Product teams to ensure complete test coverage and timely delivery. Perform UI, functional, regression, and smoke testing for new app features and bug fixes. Analyse automation test failures, perform root cause analysis, and log detailed defects in JIRA or similar tools. Continuously enhance automation frameworks to improve coverage, stability, and execution efficiency. Experience in creating test plans, automation strategies, and coverage reports. Experience with Cloud Device Farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm).

Required Skills: Mobile Automation:

Hands-on experience with Appium using Java or Python. Experience with Android Studio and Xcode for app setup and configuration. Strong understanding of mobile testing on both real devices and emulators/simulators.

API Automation:

Strong experience in REST API testing using RestAssured (Java) or Postman/Newman. Ability to validate JSON/XML responses, status codes, and headers. Familiarity with API mocking, token-based authentication, and environment configuration. Understanding of API contract testing and tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI.

General QA Automation Skills:

Proficiency with TestNG / JUnit / Pytest frameworks. Experience integrating tests with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Proficient in Git/Bitbucket for version control. Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber. Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC/STLC processes.
